A small stone Mahltrog (grinding trough) from the Bronze Age built into the medieval city wall of Templin, Brandenburg. In folklore it is described as the impression of a Giants footprint.

With a new information sign.

F.W. Ehrhart in the book "Die Hünenhacken auf der Insel Usedom, Baltische Studien 1858", explains as follows:

English Translation:
The folk have no doubts about the origin of these stones. Originally they were clay dumplings softened by the rain, into which one of the giants [Hünen], from which the island [Usedom] was once inhabited, stepped with the rear end of the foot and left the impression of the heel up to the narrowest point of the sole of the foot, later the soft clay is hardened and petrified again.
