In the graveyard of Tete commune, there is a coral-stone-piled square enclosure and several tombstones are placed inside. This is believed to be the tombs (=haka) of Ōhachi, the ruler (‘aji’ or ‘utchi’) of Tete village who was forced by Ryūkyū (present day Okinawa) king to invade facing Kakeroma-jima island, and his servants.
