On a natural river-made sand terrace overlooking the river running trough the town of Hønefoss are two huge round barrows. One is called "Liljekornvallhaugen" and the other "Kongshaugen". The barrows are located on the edge of the terrace and they are today inside a local park with playing apparatuses for children. The barrows are overgrown with only grass and a number of trees, but are still very easy to see.
The Kongshaugen barrow is 35 metres in diameter and 5 metres in height. It is high grass growing around the edges and large trees on top. Even overgrown it is still a beautiful iron age burial monument.
The Liljekornvallhaugen barrow is also 35 metres in diameter and 7 metres in height. It is less overgrown than the Konghaugen barrow. It has a ditch dug into its side. It has steep edges and a flat top.
