Elegant and tall, well turned out, a prince among dolmens.
High enough to stand in with a main chamber and smaller space one end of which has a large horizontal stone inscribed with (most of) a circle centered with a round hole with rays from the circumference on one side and a triangle on the other - sun, (shooting) star, animal?
But it’s not in the right place. It was transposed from it’s original home, now below the shimmying surface of the reservoir of the Rialba few years ago and now they sit in a picnic area at the waters edge, below the road and next to the bridge.
On the same site are an 11C chapel also relocated from further upstream and a large stone ‘basin’ of unknown provenance.
