43559959 visited on 2nd Sep 2008 - their rating: Cond: 5 Amb: 4 Access: 1 Difficult to find. Three hours on horseback from the village of Alquézar, Aragon, and then a half hour brisk walk. But well worth it on arrival at the end of the narrow canyon.
In Chimiachas Ravine, a tributary of the Rio Vero, there are several rock-shelters with rock art dating from between 9000 and 3000 BCE. The main one exhibits a spectacular Levantine figure of a motionless stag. It is an ochre-red painting on the wall, with a very marked outline and red interior fill, and very fine antlers.
