stonetracker visited on 1st Feb 2024 Very little information out there, but this is listed as a known single-mound Walls phase site. The only reasonable, safe parking was about 1/2 mile west of the site in a nearby cemetery. The mound appears to be fairly intact but impossible to confirm from this distance.

Artificial Mound in The South

This is the putative location of the Cheatham Mound, a late Mississippian Walls phase mound site. I have very little additional information on this site other than its listing in a Wikipedia article and a photo I took recently from a distance (the mound is on a private farm). The fact that the site is located on Cheatham Rd is a good indication that this is the correct location.

Video of the site. Mostly unintelligible audio thanks to a 40 mph wind and a makeshift windscreen on the microphone, but I thought it might be useful for context.
