Stone Fort or Dun in Isle of Skye

The remains of the enclosure of the dun, on the knoll at the point, are still over 8 ft high in places.
It is seen here from the top of the crags on the west side of Creag Liath.

Dun Skudiburgh submitted by Andy B : Fairly substantial remains of a stone age dun/broch on the summit. The lines of the wider defensive walls are clearly visible around the perimeter of the flat top. Near the middle are these walls, enclosing a teardrop shaped area. This photo shows what a fantastis spot this was to see any invader coming in from the sea. The dun seemed to have arrived with the Brthonic Celts in about the 7th century BC.
