JFW67 visited on 23rd Feb 2019 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 3 Access: 2 The site is a grave sited within three meters of the stream on the western bank. The Moyle Way runs along the eastern bank, so to access the tomb, if walking north along the Way, you need to cross the stream at the footbridge a few hundred meters north and then return along the bank. The grave is beneath a lone oak. It is a small headstone with the remains of a mound. Due to its proximity to the stream the headstone leans and the mound shows signs of erosion. The stone has some text carved on the north face and a Christian image on the south face. SMR Number ANT 014:002 The following comes from the Northern Ireland Sites and Monuments record.(NISMR) ~: 'This stone is held by tradition to mark the spot where the chief of the McQuillans fell at the Battle of Aura. It is set in a remote spot on the bank of the Glenshesk River. The stone resembles a small, crudely-shaped grave marked, and leans acutely to the E. It is 0.5m high, 0.3m broads and 0.08m thick. It is firmly earthfast and is located only 2m from the river bank. The most interesting feature of the stone is a very primitive incised drawing of a human figure illustrated from the waist up found on the south face. The head is set at a slight tilt. On the N face is a small, incised cross with some traces of modern graffiti. Extending from the N side of the stone is an ill-defined mound c. 2m long, 0.7m wide and 0.4m high.'

I don''t know about it being a "chambered grave", but there is a headstone, with a carved image of a man on one side and a cross on the other. I am a McQuillan, and went to visit it a few years back.
