Standing Stone in Islay

A 1.2 metre tall standing stone.

For more information see Canmore site no. 38056 and The Northern Antiquarian (TNA).

Canmore tell us there are two standing stones at this farm: "this standing stone is situated 18m NW of the SW gable of Ardtalla farmhouse. Leaning slightly to the SSE, it measures 0.48m by 0.48m at the base and 1.25m height."

TNA say this site "takes a bitta getting to this one, right at the far end of the road, leading to nowhere" - see their entry for Ardtalla, Islay, Argyll which contains directions for getting to the site together with a brief archaeology & history.
