Sookholme Bath
Sookholme Bath submitted by HOLYWELL : Site in Nottinghamshire Sookholme bath a spring which cures rheumatism (Vote or comment on this photo)
Holy Well or Sacred Spring in Nottinghamshire

This site associated with healing rheumatism arieses to fill a large pond, hence the name. It is found close to a footpath. There was probably a more ancient structure here because the water was supposedly culverted to the nearby manor. There is so evidence of this from old stones in the water.

Re: Sookholme Bath by Anonymous on Sunday, 13 April 2014
We knew this area as Sookholme Docks in the 1945-1955 era.
A Roman tile kiln was in this area and it supplied the Roman Villa at Northfield farm Pleasley Vale.
