These stones form a row a little to the west of the High Bridestones.

Easily lost in the grass they are worth the hunt.

Low Bridestones (Yorks) submitted by johndhunter : Low Bridestones (Sleights Moor) – Viewed looking northerly, July 2016. According to Frank Elgee (Early Man in NE Yorkshire, page 159), these stones are the remains of prehistoric stone walling from enclosures or fields. - Though this is not proven. this appears to be more of a stone row than a circle. I have some information passed to me that was produced by a chap who lives not far from the stones. He believes they were used as a calendar. He has worked out a system with which you can keep track of the date by placing stones on the standing stones and moving them around each day. It seems complicated and it lost me, I'm also sure it is entirely a product of his mind but interesting nonetheless. It is a site I intend to visit again when the water table drops a bit.
