Stone Circle in Vest-Agder
This stone circle is located in a valley between two hills right next to a small footpath. It is inside a tight pine tree forest and the full circle can be difficult to photograph if it was not for forest floor having no vegetation at all, but is completely dry except for a few paths of moss.
The stone circle consists of seven blocks of stone with a space between them of around 2-3 metres. The circle has a diameter of around 10 metres and the blocks of stone are around 80cm to one metre in height and from 80 to 90cm wide. The unusual location of the circle between the hills and with no view to any direction or any nearby burials or monuments suggest the circle is not a burial monument at all but some kind of ritualistic site.
