Long Barrow in Perth and Kinross

This Neolithic Long Cairn is recorded as Canmore ID 73465 which tells us: "This cairn is situated on the spine of a ridge to the S and W of an unnanamed tributary to the Bracklin Burn. It measures 53.5m in length from WNW to ESE and tapers from 14.8m in breadth at the ESE end to 8.5m at the WNW. The cairn stands 1.5m in height and there are two upright slabs, set transversly to the line of the cairn, in the W half of the body of the cairn. Within the extensively robbed ESE end of the cairn there are two large slabs lying flat which may represent the remains of a chamber."

The lgiant barrow also features on The Northern Antiquarian (TNA) - see their page for Cromlix Lodge, Dunblane, Perthshire. TNA give directions for finding the cairn, include photographs and a brief archaeology and history. TNA add that the next closest tomb on any great size in the vicinity is Judge's Cairn, 2.4 km to the southwest, together with clusters of other cairns and a prehistoric settlement nearby.
