Preliminary excavations performed in 2011 revealed that lines of the figure was reveted with stones on a layer of clay.
More than 120 stone tools were found during further excavations of 2012 and 2013. The geoglyph is dated to 3800-3500 BC and for now is the only object of this kind discovered in Russia.
The hill figure is only visible in late spring or early autumn.
Note: Dig shows that the entire community, including children built this geoglyph in Russia. See the comments on our page for more.
