It's the biggest preserved long barrow in Poland with over 150 meters of length. It was build by people of Funnelbeaker Culture in Neolithic period around 3400 - 3000 BCE. Near the tomb, the remains of a timber temple were discovered - the temple was probably burned after the burial as part of a ritual.
Simillar long barrows, called "grobowce kujawskie" or "żalki" can be found also in other villages in this area - Obałki, Wietrzychowice and Sarnowo.
