Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by Harry_20 : New info board at the site. The excavation found Iron Age pottery showing that the site was in use for some time after the Neolithic cursus was built. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by Harry_20 : Looking eastwards across the site, it is now fenced off and used for livestock. Big changes since my last visit including an archaeological excavation in 2022 and a new info board.

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Looking NW.

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Looking SW at a circular area outlined by mowing - barrow? enclosure? pit? ring ditch? or a bored tractor driver?

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Stood in the middle of the site looking NW. I have no idea what's going on at this site and what the mowing is meant to mean, if anything.

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : End of the mown line finishing at an enclosed circular area in front of the telegraph pole.

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Looking SE at the enclosed circular area at the end of the mown line.

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Looking westwards. Creative mowing, recreational or historic?

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Edge of the field looking SE. There is a large rectangular area fenced off in the foreground (recreational or historic, I have no idea!) with a circular area fenced off behind it - I assume that the circular area is one of the enclosures/ring ditches/barrows/pits?

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Looking south easterly along the longest mown line, it finishes at an enclosed circular area in the middle of the site.

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Top of the field looking NW. Needs some more practice with the crop circles : )

Norton and Lenchwick Cursus
Norton and Lenchwick Cursus submitted by HarryTwenty : Looking SW into the setlement/cursus site. Very difficult to work out what's going on here as there is no info board available and the landowner/farmer has enclosed several areas. Without the relevant info it is hard to know if all the enclosed areas are part of the settlement or only some of them. The mown areas are also confusing. Any further info would be much appreciated!
