Ancient Village or Settlement in Moldova
The area of Orheiul Vechi, located on a bend of the Răut River, was periodically inhabited by different cultures, including Cucuteni-Trypillia culture, Getae, Dacians, Slavs, Mongol-Tatars (Golden Horde), and Moldavians. Visible remains include the ruins of a Tatar bath, ruins of the Orhei Castle, and a cave monastery.
