To give a continuation to the post about "Menhir Le REPAIRE".
Recently on documents I found an information about a standing stone or a "Lordly stone"? in the village of ORADOUR in Charente; near the hamlet of Chillé. I went there and after an hour of search along the corn stubbles and marchies meadows I found this stone along a white trackway near a stream.
It is a limestone monument about 2.2m hight, 1.6m on width and 0.6m on thickness, biased along a N,S direction.
It confirms that when we are searching something, we find it sooner or later.
On the main road in the hamlet of CHILLE, there is a signpost "Dolmen La GROSSE PIERRE" ?; maybe a bad interpretation or this stone is a remain of a disappeared monument.
