Peyre Levade (Labastide Marnhac) submitted by stuartrose : Dolmen near Labastide Marnhac, Lot (46), France. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Remains of a burial chamber beside the road in the community of Labastide Marnhac, south of Cahors in Lot (46)

The dolmen consists of 4 upright stones and a single capstone. It appears to be made of the limestone typical to this area. It is located 2 metres from the eastern side of the road, parking nearby is very easy. The image was taken on in very dull and overcast conditions.

I'm afraid the position given for this is nowhere near, so accuracy = 5 seems a little strange. Checking for Labastide Marnhac gives it about 5km south of Cahors, whereas the given position is about 25 km southwest.

I've updated this to the position of the dolmen shown on the Geoportail IGN map just north-east of Poudans.

A simple error during the creation of this burial chamber’s entry led to the coordinates being first entered in degrees, minutes and seconds. The revised decimal coordinates are accurate.
