Barrow Cemetery in the Kawartha Lakes region, Ontario.Although the mound itself was destroyed over time by plowing, the human remains were discovered during the development of a camp. Excavations are leaving human remains in situ and examining grave goods and associated animal bones, tools, and evidence of communal activities near the mound, like feasting.
The cemetery mound and burials are estimated as being 2000 years old.
