Barrow Cemetery in Honshū
An octagonal pyramid mound with flat top. The holed stone on the top has been supposed to be a foundation stone for the central pillar of a Buddhist pagoda. "Haiji" means a ruined temple. The surrounding situation is a gradual slope not suitable for tall structure and the hole of the stone is too small for a pillar, some scholars suspect that this is a burial mound.
