Mangere Mountain is the site of a once large fortified Maori pa and kainga (fortified village) located in Auckland.

The site is located in the Auckland suburb of Mangere and is connected to Ambury Regional Park by a track. Ambury Regional Park has many archaeological sites as it was used for gardening and crop growing by the inhabitants of the pa and surrounding kainga (settlements).

The site is a large volcanic cone with twin craters and a trail winds it way up to the summit from where grand views of the region can be seen. Along the trail there are information boards and evidence of ditches, kumera storage pits and habitation. To the south and west side of the volcano there are narrow terraced areas which would have been used for homes and cultivation. The pa would have been palisaded and would have provided a very strong fortification given the steepness of the volcano's sides.
