Valley of the Temples | Ancient Temple | Italy | Sicily (Sicilia) | Visited | 16th Nov 2024 | 4 | 4 | 5 | This is a well-run sight. It is wondeful to stay late, after sunset, to see the temples illuminated under the full moon.
Stonehenge. | Stone Circle | England | Wiltshire | Visited | 1st Jan 2000 | 4 | 5 | 5
Sant'Eulalia Area Archeologica | Ancient Village or Settlement | Italy | Sardinia (Sardegna) | Visited | 25th Oct 2022 | 3 | 3 | 5
San Cosimo Nuraghe | Broch or Nuraghe | Italy | Sardinia (Sardegna) | Visited | 27th Oct 2022 | 2 | 3 | 4 | The Nuraghe is just to the west of the abandoned San Cosimo church. It is not visible until your are almost on top of it. You are actually standing on its collapsed roof! The area is fenced, and a sign says that permission from the local officians is required. But the gate was unlocked.
San Cosimo Tomba di Giganti | Chambered Tomb | Italy | Sardinia (Sardegna) | Visited | 27th Oct 2022 | 4 | 4 | 5 | Well preserved Tomba de Giganti. One of the largest on the island. A badly preserved Nuraghi and an abandoned church are on the hill across the road. |
