Silbury Hill  Artificial Mound  England  Wiltshire  Visited  14th Mar 2016  5  5  4  Clearly visible hill from West Kennet Long Barrow. Public access on the hill is denied as it is suffering from erosion, I believe. It is a remarkable site nonetheless. The closest you can get to the hill is either through a water-logged field or the picnic area.
Stoney Littleton  Chambered Cairn  England  Somerset  Visited  7th Jun 2016  5  5  4  Amazing long barrow, with an extensive network of chambers. Very accessible and a lovely place to visit. Car park and labelled footpath. The chamber itself is very large and goes go back quite far. Bring a torch if you go exploring as it is dark and has a lot of hidden passages. One of the best long...

West Kennett Long Barrow  Long Barrow  England  Wiltshire  Visited  18th Mar 2016  5  5  4  Amazing long barrow with its structure still in good condition. Parking available and well-gravelled footpath. Inside are small chambers to the side and it is fairly "roomy" inside. Definitely worth a trip after visiting Avebury Stone Circles.
Stonehenge.  Stone Circle  England  Wiltshire  Visited  14th Jan 2016  5  5  5  Don't really need to say a lot about Stonehenge apart from how amazing it is. At first seeing the prices for the museum and shuttle bus I was sceptical about the experience but afterwards it was worth it. Amazing piece of history. Make sure you get the shuttle bus and museum pass - even just for the...

Maiden Castle (Dorset)  Hillfort  England  Dorset  Visited  2nd Jun 2016  4  5  4  Amazing Iron Age hill fort. Car park next to site with a well-gravelled footpath leading up to the centre of the fort. The fort is huge and took about an hour to walk around the outside of it at a steady pace. Atmosphere is amazing and lots of ruins on top, as well as information boards and markers....

Battlesbury Camp  Hillfort  England  Wiltshire  Visited  14th Jun 2016  3  5  4  Site is amazing and very isolated. Short walk on foot from road near the army training ground. Live exercises take place on the Camp - military - but do not be discouraged as the view from the top is fantastic. Great walk around and visible henge surrounding the centre. Worth a visit!
Brent Knoll Camp  Hillfort  England  Somerset  Visited  14th Jun 2016  3  5  3  Amazing site. Very steep climb from a footpath through a field (possible bridle-path). Site has a great view from the top and large area in the middle. Recognisable henge. Very nice place to visit.
Stantonbury Camp  Hillfort  England  Somerset  Visited  24th May 2016  2  4  3  Great site with amazing views. Access is not actually signposted from one direction although the path is identifiable. Site has a public footpath opposite campsite on the main road.
