Cors y Gedol

Cors y Gedol submitted by w650marion on 24th May 2024. Cors y Gedol in one of the lovely sunsets so frequently seen here. Cors y Gedol Round House Settlement

Cors y Gedol Round House Settlement submitted by w650marion on 2nd Mar 2025. Close to the footpath, another ring of stones appears in early spring when the brambles and bracken have died back. It was something important once, quite substantial and there is a very welcoming atmosphere. I always say hello and we have a little chat.

Log Text: It's an old friend that appears only in early spring. We chat. I hear -
"Allo! Come inside and meet the missus. Have a nice cup of tea......."

Cup Marked Stone, Gwerncaernyddion

Cup Marked Stone, Gwerncaernyddion submitted by w650marion on 8th Jun 2019. We walked past this massive squarish flat-topped boulder at the side of the road, only to find later that it was in the Archwilio archaeological record as a cup marked stone! We dashed back with high hopes and gently brushed away the sheep droppings, but the cup marks were not easy to see. Top ...
