Corndon Hill 6

Corndon Hill 6 submitted by TimPrevett on 30th Dec 2004. Looking south west, with Corndon Hill 6 cairn in the foreground, and Roundton Hillfort sticking up noticeably in the middle distance. Crisp big blue sky on Midwinter Solstice 2004. Made me feel very euphoric; wonderful day for visiting this location.

Log Text: My favourite of all the Corndon Hill cairns! Being slightly lower on its spur, it connects with the landscape below in a beautiful way.

Log Text: It's very close and visible from the Kerry Ridgeway single track road. If the grass verge was dry you could possibly park close to the gate of the field. But everywhere in Shropshire is permanently wet and boggy these days so it's best to park securely in a lay-by closer to Bishops Castle and enjoy the walk in along the Ridgeway.
