Kongsgaarden submitted by Harald_Platta on 18th Mar 2020. Kongsgaarden was the fortified residence of King Harald Hardrada (1015-1066). The founding of the residence is widely recognized as the beginning of today`s Norwegian capital Oslo. The death of Hardrada is considered to mark the end of the Viking Age.
