This is from the NOSAS Facebook page: "We were very sorry to learn today that one of the cists at Carn Glas long cairn, Achvraid, Essich, south of Inverness has been deliberately damaged. Apparently turf has been cut and and stones have been removed to create a makeshift structure. This is a scheduled monument and the police, HES and Highland Council are aware....

Ringmoor Down Cairn 1 submitted by TheCaptain on 29th May 2013. The 10 metre diameter Cairn 1 is about 100m east of Brisworthy stone circle. Not much is to be seen these days, just 4 or 5 dark stones of its surrounding kerb seemingly laying around the egde of a darker patch of grass.

It is not easy to find, although given the right conditions, the central area can be seen to be flattened off from the basic moor.

Menhir de la Boutinardière

Menhir de la Boutinardière submitted by TheCaptain on 12th Oct 2018. From Michel Baconnais. Ce menhir a été arraché de son emplacement en 1940 par les villageois de la Rogère, commune de la Bernerie. Il a été implanté au carrefour du Poteau, mais a été déplacé une seconde fois, pour l'ériger près du moulin Burlot, près de la propriété de la Jarrie. Il a été "christiannisé" en 1959 avec l'implantation d'une croix de granit à son sommet.

When the Romans built the Canterbury City walls, they were arranged to incorporate an ancient mound, thought to be a large burial mound within a barrow cemetary.
