Baile Mhargaite submitted by hamilton on 14th Jun 2017. This stitched panorama illustrates the fine walling that remains inside this broch. It is believed that these walls continue down for another two metres or so, the broch having been filled by wind-blown sands over the centuries.

On the hills north of Malham, are remains of several settlements dating from the Bronze Age onwards. This particular site at Ing Scar is thought to be Iron Age, or Romano-British. A number of lines of walling can still be seen, central are the remains of 2 rectangular structures.

Newton Reigny Enclosure submitted by Anne T on 26th Nov 2017. Standing at the gate to the field containing part of this enclosure, looking north. A series of low banks and ditches can be seen, largely to the left hand side of the small cluster of sheep. Not a huge amount to be seen, but this site is believed to be of Dark Ages origin, according to the Curator of Carlisle Museum.

Castlesteads (Yanwath Wood) submitted by Anne T on 7th Apr 2018. Standing almost in the middle of the interior of the enclosure looking north west. Parts of the enclosure are being used for grouse/pheasant feeding stations. Another part had iron sheeting laid over a dug out area.

In the middle distance is Llyn Safaddan, aka Llyn Llangors, aka Llangorse Lake.
