Boskednan stone circle submitted by JimChampion on 22nd Aug 2005. The portal stones illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun. The tallest one (on the left) has a diagonal groove present on this and the opposite side. The holes that the restored stones were raised from have been covered with pegged down foliage, presumably to encourage regrowth on the bare earth.

FREMONT PETROGLPHS Petroglyphs (etching in rocks) created, it is believed, by the Fremont people which lived in the area approximately from AD 600 - 1300. The Fremont people were contemporaries of the Ancestral Puebloans (Anasazi) of the Four Corners area. This is one panel of some of the many petroglyphs in the Captitol Reef Utah area. Coste-Rouge Dolmen submitted by thecaptain on 7th Oct 2005. Coste-Rouge Dolmen on a sunny, but cold and windy afternoon in September. Unfortunately, to see this dolmen nowadays, the full guided tour of the abbey has to be taken - there are no longer any open visits round the grounds because it has been made into an animal park. But its worth it.
