Log Text: Located at the back of the Gatehouse Museum. Capped and paved over. No plaque or notice indicating its existence. Only an easily overlooked note inscribed in the concrete against the Gatehouse wall, which reads "[illegible] well capped by SAS 6-4-1991." An adjoining flower bed had Himalayan Balsam growing in it [an invasive species- I contacted them to remove it] so I guess the ground can still be quite soggy. It is on top of a hill but there was a drain cover close by so there must still be spring water down there.
