Part of the delight of staying on the Caravan Club site on the farm next to Lligwy - being able to capture quiet times.
Shame there wasn't a moon that night!

Lledwigan submitted by pab on 9th May 2007. Site in Anglesey (Sir Ynys Mon)
This was the nearest I was able to get to this stone in an otherwise wonderful weekend - across a significant stream and several fields away! Firmly in private land, and insufficient time to locate the owner to ask permission ... something for another visit perhaps.

Llandawke Inscribed Stone submitted by pab on 31st Jan 2009. Side view of the Ogham and Latin script.
Mary Curtis' book contains some very clear sketches of both scripts...well worth looking out for a copy of her work, which was produced as a facsimile by the former Dyyed County Council.

Little Walsingham Holy Well
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring
Country: England (Norfolk)
Visited: Yes on 10th Apr 2007

Little Walsingham Holy Well submitted by pab on 10th Apr 2007. Holy Well, located next to the ruins of Abbey of St Mary, in Little Walsingham. Site is now part of the Abbey Museum grounds, so a charge is payable (£3, in April 2007). It was not possible for me to remove the cover to have a proper look, but perhaps someone making a pre-arranged visit might be allowed to do so.
The main well was approximately 5m by 5m, with 2 circular wells very close by. There is scope for confusion as to whether this is the 'real well', as there is another one withi...

Links of Noltland submitted by PAB on 22nd Jun 2016. June 2016 – The team of archaeologists starting the 2016 season of excavations this week are first having to deal with the results of an Orkney winter - the winds have covered some of the site with 'new' sand, and uncovered other parts of last year's excavations.
The 'sauna' referred to in last year's postings and uncovered in 2015 will be one of the focal points of the excavations – it was established in 2015 that is an almost perfectly preserved house, with a stairwell leading down in...

Lady's Well (Holystone) submitted by KiwiBetsy on 5th Dec 2004. During the first half of the 12th century a Priory was built at Holystone as a home for some Augustinian Canonesses. Since then the well has been known as Lady's Well after these religious ladies who cared for the well right up to the Dissolution of the Monasteries. They are said to have added the cross that reflects so splendidly in the water.

You can still walk among the stones at Kerzerho (in 2002 at east) which are near Carnac but not quite so busy. Head up the D781 to Erdeven. You can park nearby, and from there you can also take the path to the large stones of the Table du Sacrifice
