Peyrefitte submitted by thecaptain on 15th Jan 2006. Large menhir near to the Dordogne river in the commune of St-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens in Gironde.
This is said to be the largest standing stone in southwest France, (but not the tallest) and it is 5.2 metres tall, 3 metres wide and less than a metre thick, with the bottom part of it chipped away to make the distinctive shape.

Log Text: Awesome spectacle and the hole has a hollow sound if tapped. I played a little drum solo.
Big stone.
