Log Text: My wife and I jogged to the site from our AirBNB outside St Just. It was an unexpected find, as I hadn't heard of the site previously and only searched for it following seeing signs during a visit to the beach a day or two before. In the cool, early morning air, it was an atmospheric visit. Signs at the site provide useful context and interpretation. It is an unusually monument visually, and it would be nice to have some descriptive linkages to the other monuments on the Penwith peninsula.

St Brigid's Well, Cullion

Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring Country: Ireland (Republic of) (Co. Westmeath)

St Brigid's Well, Cullion

St Brigid's Well, Cullion submitted by AngieLake on 21st Nov 2019. Frances and Arthur Parsons visited this well in 2013, and she gave me this photo recently. This is a view of St Brigid's Well, Mullingar, according to Frances. According to the 'megalithic ireland' website it IS just outside Mullingar. (There was a drawing overlapping the right side of the photo that I edited out, so I cannot vouch for its originality. Maybe they took it from a brochure? However, it is useful for our records.)

Swallowhead Spring

Swallowhead Spring submitted by DavidCWoods on 15th Aug 2004. SU101681 Visited 13.08.04 Eventually found the spring site - it's marked on maps, and on the local notices, but not quite clear how you get there. There appeared to be two spring sites, decorated with offerings, but both were dry.
