Isbister: Bronze Age House submitted by LizH on 18th Nov 2004. Isbister bronze age house or burnt mound
Probably a later site than the impressive tomb not far off. This was probably a boiling place, where hot stones were placed in water to cook.

Braeside submitted by LizH on 19th Nov 2004. Braeside Orkney
I was on a minibus trip round Eday when I insisted on jumping out to take a picture of this; even though it was very misty. The other 6 people stayed firmly on the bus, although this was one of Eday's 'sights'. But despite the mist, I got a nice picture.

Becket's Well
Date Added: 8th Apr 2011
Site Type: Holy Well or Sacred Spring
Country: England (Northamptonshire)
Visited: Yes on 15th Jan 2005

Becket's Well submitted by LizH on 15th Jan 2005. Becket's well in Northampton is near the town centre, on a main road. I think it looks better from a distance, although even then to get a photograph you have to wait for the lights to change so there are no cars. This shows the structure housing the well, built in 1843.

Site Type: Class II Pictish Symbol Stone
Country: Scotland (Moray)
Visited: Yes on 23rd Aug 2006

Brodie submitted by LizH on 23rd Aug 2006. Unless this is a facsimilie, there is no longer a glass case round the stone and it was much easier to photograph when I visited. Sad for the stone though. This is the back (cross-side) of the stone
