Davagh Lower S

Davagh Lower S submitted by LizH on 21st Aug 2008. This shows the tallest stones visible in the clearing, and some of the stones of what I think was the oval. I can almost see (with the eyes of my memory) the circle outline but recognise it may be invisible to anyone else!

Montiaghroe Centre

Montiaghroe Centre submitted by LizH on 28th Aug 2008. These are some of the stones. The arrow on the right points to one more visible in the grass, and the one on the left to more which were concealed in this gorse bush. It was impossible to get all of them in simultaneously (without first burning down all the vegetation perhaps!)

Mnajdra

Mnajdra submitted by LizH on 9th Nov 2004. This stone has a pecked pattern across part of its surface. Lower down the pecking appears unfinished - or perhaps it is some decoration we don't really understand. The orthostat is on the east side of the east temple at Mnajdra.

Tarxien submitted by LizH on 9th Nov 2004. This orthostat from Tarxien, now in the archaeological museum in Valetta, has broad carved spirals. It stood opposite another, with similar, but slightly different spirals. I think this is the right hand one, but in all my careful notes, forgot to note this!
