Tumiac tumulus submitted by AlexHunger on 2nd Nov 2004. Tumulus de Tumiac, otherwise known as Butte De Cesar is the first noticeable site on the southerly Presqu’ile de Rhuys, on the way to Arzon. No serious attempt has been to date this large pile of rocks, but it is largely in the state it was in 2050 years ago, when it was first mentioned. Gaius Julius Ceasar allegedly used it as a command post, from which to survey troop movements and fleets while concluding the Gallic wars but it predates his appearance by over 2,000 years. Saline est menhir submitted by thecaptain on 13th May 2006. This little menhir is probably broken, and not much more than a metre in height.
It can be seen just inside somebodies front garden, but easily visible from the road.

Pointe de Men Maria dolmen submitted by thecaptain on 12th Jul 2006. This poor little dolmen is superbly situated on a little headland which seperates the Saint-Gildas-de-Rhuys harbour from the beach - a very desirable place apart from the car park, within which it is walled.

Dolmen dit Lannek-er-Men submitted by TheCaptain on 11th Jun 2011. This is a little dolmen sat on a green area outside a very pretty house. It has a little oval chamber, 3 metres by 2 metres, with an entrance to the east where there was perhaps once an entrance passageway.

Dolmens des Grays submitted by thecaptain on 19th Jul 2006. East along the coast from Penlann headland are found the remains of this large cairn.
It is difficult to make anything out nowadays, other than there are lots of large rocks on the remains of a large mound, overlooking the Villaine estuary.
Closer inspection shows this to have once been a large 30 metre diameter cairn, with at least three passage tombs within it, two of which still have a few capstones in position.
