Torhousekie N
Date Added: 18th Sep 2010
Site Type: Cairn
Country: Scotland (Dumfries and Galloway)
Visited: Yes. My rating: Condition 4 Ambience 3 Access 5

Torhousekie N submitted by Anne T on 25th Jun 2019. Crossing the road from the stone circle and walking a little way west, a large 'lump' (with a robbed dip in the middle?) appears in the field which runs from east to west. I was uncertain as to whether this was just field clearance or a cairn, so photographed it anyway! It's location and grid reference matched up with this site, and the street view that has been kindly posted to this site page.

Sandbach Crosses
Date Added: 25th Sep 2010
Site Type: Ancient Cross
Country: England (Cheshire)
Visited: Yes on 16th Sep 2010. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 3 Access 5
Sandbach Crosses submitted by TimPrevett on 25th Mar 2005. The two huge crosses at Sandbach (pronounced sand-batch; most are probably familiar with the Sandbach Services on the M6) ; I've travelled many miles taking in other crosses en route, but these two are as near as on my doorstep, and I'd never visited! The astonishment I felt at their size was in proportion to said size.
I wasn't particularly happy with the photos I took on this visit, but having been once and being so close, I'll return, and also for a night shot when they are lit up, hopefull...

Site Type: Passage Grave
Country: France (Bretagne:Côtes-D'Armor (22))
Visited: Yes on 7th Oct 2010. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 3 Access 5
Keryvon allée couverte submitted by thecaptain on 27th Feb 2007. Right beside the D.788 road from Trébeurden to Trégastel, and only feet from the cliff edge, is the remains of this allée couverte.
It has a single capstone on side supports only, but there are at least three of them on the south side, and possibly more. At the back, near the hedge, I think that there are a few peristalith stones also.
