Stanton Drew NE Circle submitted by Horatio on 23rd Apr 2022. The NE circle the smallest of the 3 circles at Stanton Drew, includes some of the heaviest blocks of stone. Within this circle geophysics have shown that four enormous timber once once stood., it is not yet understood if these where buildings, raised platforms or some other form of ceremonial structure.

Wookey Hole Caves submitted by JimChampion on 26th Aug 2008. Fairly standard picture from one of the first caverns (The so-called Witch's Kitchen) at Wookey Hole caves. The water is the River Axe, which soon after this point emerges into the open. Bear in mind that the water level in the caves was raised by the construction of Wookey Hole mill in the 17th century (and even further back with the mill recorded in the Domesday Book). Rollright Stones submitted by Energyman on 21st Dec 2020. This was the closest the weather forecast would allow me to get to this year's solstice sunrise, 20/12/20 8:30am. Luckily very little cloud. The shot is from the altar as I call it, through the entrance at the King's Men, Rollrights. This alignment was calculated by Jack Morris Eyton, though he never got the chance to confirm it.
