The Niederdollendorfer Bilderstein was found in Königswinter (North Rhine-Westphalia) in a Frankish cemetery of the 6th or 7th century AD. The front side most likely shows a Germanic warrior. His left hand is lying on the Franconian short sword, while he holds a comb in his right hand. He wears a long-sleeved pant-like garment. Near his his right leg a canteen is shown. Oppidum Ubiorum

Oppidum Ubiorum submitted by Harald_Platta on 14th Aug 2017. The Oppidum Ubiorum was a settlement by the Germanic tribe of the Ubii (19 BC). It represents the oldest predecessor settlement of today`s Cologne (North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany). The only visibel remaining part is the Ubiermonument (“monument of the Ubii“). The tuff stonework of this square stone tower is still preserved up to 6.50 m high. It was most likely the harbour tower or a fortification of the city wall. The early version of St.-Clemens was a chapel built in the first half of the 10th century over a well basin with four well openings.
