Ty Newydd submitted by hamish on 11th Jan 2005. Even though there are brick columns supporting the cap stone, this is still a majestic dolmen. you can position yourself so as not to be affected unduly.

Lligwy Burial Chamber submitted by hamish on 11th Jan 2005. Site in Anglesey (Sir Ynys Mon) This is impressive, the capstone is spectacular and if you are of a mind you can get into the chamber - I didn't try, my knees being what they are.

Perthiduon submitted by hamish on 24th Jan 2005. It was a nice walk through the fields, four in all, could have missed it quite easily. I always find these to be quite poignant, little left to show the effort the ancestors used to erect them.

Caer-Dyni submitted by hamish on 10th Nov 2004. I stopped off at Criccieth for a break after a trip round the peninsula and saw this marked on the map. What a lovely rather sad place hidden from direct view, perhaps that is why it has survived. This pic was my first sight of it.

Penarth submitted by hamish on 11th Nov 2004. This is as close as I could get, you can see the herd of young cattle on the right well they didn't take too kindly to me so I hopped back over the hedge. The farmer was happy for me to risk my life but I declined his invite. He was though very informative about the area.

Mynydd Cefn Amlwch submitted by hamish on 10th Jan 2005. SH230346 I saw this as I was driving past, I stopped at the head of the drive of the farm and went back to see if it was indeed what I thought I had seen. It is quite beautiful in its setting,it is protected by a fence but this does not detract from the ambience of the site. The views around are a part of its delight.
