Located close to the A523 Macclesfield to Leek road (and visible from the carpark of the Fools Nook pub) this beaker barrow was constructed in three phases. Excavations took place in the late 1960's but were delayed by the Foot and Mouth epidemic.

Cessbank Common submitted by vicky on 17th Jul 2002. A supposed barrow on Cess Bank Common near Wincle at GR: SJ958681, partially quarried and later reused as a dog's grave.
