St. Ninian's Bay submitted by SumDoood on 21st May 2016. I haven't yet visited this site, but took these from the road thinking that the peninsula looks like a good contender for the south of Scotland's equivalent of the Ness of Brodgar. There you are, I've said it now.

Log Text: Well sign poated, as is The Cove in the village. A couple of parking spaces available near the gate leading to the circle. I could only look from the wall at the edge of the field as it was extremely muddy- the circle is on farmland with permitted access and had been used for cattle so was very churned up. Could of been amazing going to the stones with the low winter sun

Bluestone 32-C is in the shadow of Stone 6.
It was a lovely morning!

Log Text: A very interesting burial camber. A long walk require from the National Trust car park (charges apply) , the sign post said 1 1/2 miles but l took a route near the Uffington Horse so it was nearly four miles there on very muddy paths. Great site though, reasonably well sign posted (although l did wonder when l was a mile down the track leading to it and qondered whether l had passed it!) Very clean area, atmospheric but isolated
