Log Text: Before turning into Goodmanham village from Market Weighton turn into Spring Lane. There is now a small layby with a sign pointing down to the well. Clootie tree further down (more steps) and a sign with information on
I also looked for the Lady well in Goodmanham village but no sign so maybe dry at this time of year

Date Added: 25th Dec 2018
Site Type: Rock Art
Country: Scotland (Dumfries and Galloway)
Visited: Yes on 20th Dec 2018. My rating: Condition 3 Ambience 4

Drumtroddan Cup and Ring Markings submitted by rockartuk on 20th Aug 2001. On a fenced outcrop, 200m South of the farm (NX 362 447), R.W.B. Morris counted 84 cup-and-rings (1979). This photo was taken in 1993 with the carvings still clear. However, in 2000 the marks turned very faint. Acid rain? The question of preservation (after about 5000 years!) is now actual as well as urgent. How?

Log Text: Fabulous find. A bit of a search to find the farm, once there parking available for 50p and wander around the back of the farm to find the fenced off areas in a boggy fiel. Wellies a good idea. In the plantation also more concentric circles and through there a couple if fields away are standing stones, only 1 upright as 2 fallen

Log Text: Well sign poated, as is The Cove in the village. A couple of parking spaces available near the gate leading to the circle. I could only look from the wall at the edge of the field as it was extremely muddy- the circle is on farmland with permitted access and had been used for cattle so was very churned up. Could of been amazing going to the stones with the low winter sun

Log Text: A very interesting burial camber. A long walk require from the National Trust car park (charges apply) , the sign post said 1 1/2 miles but l took a route near the Uffington Horse so it was nearly four miles there on very muddy paths. Great site though, reasonably well sign posted (although l did wonder when l was a mile down the track leading to it and qondered whether l had passed it!) Very clean area, atmospheric but isolated
