Uprights at Mokumanamana About 155 miles northwest of Nihoa lies Mokumanamana, a small basalt island that is 1/6 square km, or 46 acres, in size. Although the island is the second smallest of the NWHI, it has the second largest surrounding marine habitat (almost 385,000 acres). Large offshore areas include Shark Bay on the north side, West Cove and Northwest Cape as well as miles of shallow reef to the southeast.

Megiddo submitted by ammanamba on 3rd Feb 2005. Standing Stones at el-Lejjun (derived from legio, Latin for legion). It is on the site of Megiddo, the ancient Bronze Age fortress on tel Megiddo. These stones look to be part of a much larger megalithic structure.

Troy. submitted by AlexHunger on 27th Sep 2007. Sıte of Homer's Epıc. The aleged palace of Priam, whıch sıts on a stone foundatıon just lıke the town walls. The habitation itself would have been out of mud bricks.
The walls were angled ınward to reduce stress durıng the frequent earthquakes in the region.

The 'Giants Grave' is a collection of ancient grave stones comprising two 11' high stone crosses and four hog-back stones. An excavation of the 'Giants Grave' showed a skeleton underneath with a sword. The four hogback stones surrounding the grave are said to represent wild boar he killed in nearby Inglewood Forest.
