Location: N 40 deg, 22min, 20.4 sec; E 49 deg, 21 min 20.2 sec.
This gravesite sits in the shelter of a hill and has several ruined building with square foundations nearby and an assortment of pottery.
Looking a bit like a dolmen I think this is the end section of a chambered cairn, one of two that I know of in Azerbaijan. Stones may have been reused for construction.

This mound is quite different from the Ohio serpent and much more difficult to photograph. The Ohio mound has an elevated platform. There is no elevated location at the Ontario site.

Unfortunately we had forgotten to bring a torch, so it was kinda spooky to crawl inside passing myriads of insects.
The drywalling is in a fantastic state. There was no restauration made on this tomb. It was discovered in 1880 and only the mound has been put into a better shape since then.
A pretty wet place as well...

Faldouet Dolmen submitted by attlebax on 16th May 2011. This site is well marked from the road and is on the Jersey map. The lane outside is narrow and has high banks so it is best to park just up the road. Not easy for any wheelchair users.
