Log Text: Owing to a knee injury, I haven't walked very far in months which is probably why I found the walk a bit strenuous. It is a short walk of about a mile and a half (maximum), first along level tracks then across agricultural land (on a public bridleway). Anyone used to walking will find it easy on the route I took. I parked my car on a slip road behind RAF Barkston Heath - avoid parking in the emergency access points though! Take waterproofs as there is no shelter on this route. The camp/hill fort is well worth making an effort to visit.
