Log Text: On road 239 Sorø to Næstved turn right after 6 km in the direction on Lynge (follow cycling route N6). After 3 km you enter a wood. In the wood take the road left to Munkedamm (Munkedammsvej) and park immediately. There is a parking place although there is no P sign. Take leaflet from a box under an information panel. You will find six megalithic sites here during a walk of around 2,5 km.
From the parking place go south for 500m and turn left at fork in the road. On your left you first find a dolmen, a bit further into the woods you will find this long barrow.

In the wood take the road left to Munkedamm (Munkedammsvej) and park immediately. There is a parking place although there is no P sign. Take leaflet from a box under an information panel. You will find six megalithic sites here during a walk of around 2,5 km.
From parking place walk south for a few 100 meters, then turn left past two other monuments. Turn right after a few 100 meters and then you will see the monument after a few 100 meters on your left. It is visible from the path.

From the parking place walk south for a few 100 meterrs, then turn left. On your left side you find another monument, but if you continue 100m you will find this long barrow in the right side of the path.
It might be an interesting monument, but it was sadly overgrown when we visited it.

This is the most impressive one, it is the third longest (80m) long barrow of Sealand. And surprising enough it is quite hard to find. From the parking place walk 500m south, then go right following the path down into a valley. After 200m the monument is on your right in the woods, but it is hard to see (in summer at least). If you can't see it walk on until a crossing, turn right and turn right after 25m again. Walk from there a few 10 meters to the monument.
It is a lovely one, secluded in the woods.

Log Text: Coming from E47 follow road 287 then turn left on signpost to Bogø By. Follow the main road along shops and pizzeria. Turn right at the Østerskovvej. Upon entering the wood keep left on split in the road. Park at the Forest House on your right, on your left is the monument.
It is well restored and really worth the detour through the village.

Log Text: From Rudkøbing follow road 9 to Spodsbjerg, turn left for road 305 to Lohals. Pass through Simmerbølle, the site is signposted after about 1 km on the left side. Good parking place.
Nice site with an impressive capstone.

Bavnehøj submitted by RunaStera on 4th Sep 2006. Bavnehøj is a tremendous burial mound. It measures 35m in diameter and is 7m high!

Log Text: From Maribo follow road 289 to Kragenæs. Just before entering Birket the mound is on your left side. It has been tampered with, adding stairs and a viewpoint. Lovely view over the landscape which reveals several other mounds.

Log Text: On road 239 Sorø to Næstved turn left after 6 km to Alsted. You will find the monument on the road to your left. No parking place, but it is a very quite road.
A quarter of the ring is missing, probably lost when the road was built.
