The Cross of Moridic (Llanhamlach) submitted by Sunny100 on 26th Nov 2010. Illustration of 'The Cross of Moridic' [by W.G.S] in St Peter & St Illtyd's Church, Llanhamlach.
The cross-slab dates from between the 7th-9th century CE and has a cross and two curious figures carved onto it. And an inscription recalls the name Moridic.
The slab is also decorated with cord-plait interlacing and key patterning.

Great Oak Stone submitted by cerrig on 8th May 2012. This is the view from the South East, on a bearing of approx. 300 degrees North West, along the very flat and dead vertical "smiley"faced Northern flank. If someone hadn't thoughtfully planted a tree in the way you would be able to see that this stone is aligned on the top of Myarth hill (not the summit), beyond this the line goes to Bwllch standing stone, out of site from here.
