The remains of a roughly circular mound, once covered with large trees lies inside a children’s playground, just beside a little housing estate across the river Usk from Crickhowell. Most of these big trees are now just stumps. A moderately sized capstone to a chamber can be seen towards the eastern side.

This magnificent standing stone lives beside the busy A40 just inside the entrance to the Welsh Brigade army camp just to the south of Crickhowell. Over 4 metres high, “The Growing Stone” looks most impressive, and has a pleasant grass and trees area around it.

Marked on the OS map as Chambered Long Cairn, the ruined remains of this tomb can be seen on a little hillock behind a house, beside the busy A438, overlooking the valley of the River Wye at Clyro, just over the river from Hay-on-Wye.
The remains of the tomb can be seen here from the northwest, and are the usual lumpy ground on top of the hillock. What looks like the remains of a stone chamber can be seen sticking out of the ground in the middl...

At Bwlch, the A40 makes a large hairpin bend to get up the hillside. In the field which is largely surrounded by this road is this Standing Stone, which is about 2 metres tall.

This is the view from the South East, on a bearing of approx. 300 degrees North West, along the very flat and dead vertical "smiley"faced Northern flank. If someone hadn't thoughtfully planted a tree in the way you would be able to see that this stone is aligned on the top of Myarth hill (not the summit), beyond this the line goes to Bwllch standing stone, out of site from here. The Cross of Moridic (Llanhamlach) submitted by Sunny100 on 26th Nov 2010. Illustration of 'The Cross of Moridic' [by W.G.S] in St Peter & St Illtyd's Church, Llanhamlach.
The cross-slab dates from between the 7th-9th century CE and has a cross and two curious figures carved onto it. And an inscription recalls the name Moridic.
The slab is also decorated with cord-plait interlacing and key patterning.

The larger of the two Bronze age stone circles is 23m in diameter with at least 21 surviving stones at pits suggest at least 3 more. There is a slight mound in the circle may cover a burial.
